    ELK 63-64 Where's the elk?

We just got back from a 9 day hunt in that area and definitely agree with you that there is less elk in that country! We had the tag in 20 as well and it was great archery hunt…way more elk. We still seen a few good bulls on this hunt and was super close on putting an arrow in a few of them. The...

    Wyoming Region G Packer

Probably location, i am mostly talking unit 135…the southern unit the makes up region G. I definitely think the deer in region H and some of the more northern parts of G faired a little better then down here, we got hammered further south.

    Wyoming Region G Packer

That’s the same numbers i have seen and from my first couple of trips out this summer I 100% believe that info…the deer herd got decimated this last winter and it will take years to come back? The does that did survive didn’t carry their fawns, I have only seen 2 fawns this summer!

    Shed prices

I just got $19 for brown elk, $13 for hard white and $4 for chalk. First time I sold elk horn back in 2007 it was $7/lb…if I had only known back then??‍♂️

Wyoming Region G poor deer hunting this year

I am long time resident and hunt G every year and this was the toughest hunt I can remember. I hope a lot of it was the full moon and very dry and hot conditions. Most mornings I was able to turn my headlamp off once I hit the trails on the ridges because the moon was still so bright. I had...

    Snow is piling up

Any updates on the weather situation? Over here in the Midwest spring is definitely here. South West Wyoming got the break it needed, the last 10 or so days have seen temps hitting the 40’s and low 50’s the last few days. The snow is going fast on the winter ranges and has opened up some more...

    Snow is piling up

The winter ranges north of Big Piney I would say avg winter, everything south of Big Piney I would say above avg winter. The first good snowfall on the winter ranges was around the end of November which in my opinion makes a big difference when the deer can stay an extra month in some of those...

    5b North Archery Elk

I drew that tag last year and definitely agree with what everyone else is saying about the 2nd week being better. I almost hunted the entire season and wished I had come two days later so that I could of hunted the last two days... cause the bulls were way more vocal the last few days that I...

Would you pay for GPS coordinates shed hunting

Unbelievable?I totally agree with arns and topper on this one! Seeing crap like this makes me hate seeing out of state plates more and more each year! If it's so important to you why not just go solo from here on out and that way you can have it all to yourself...amazing what the brown gold is...

The Wiley ways of one greedy Outfitter

I felt the need to share some information in response to Rob Wiley's article Mule Deer crisis in Western Wyoming since he won't post my comments on his website! I would love to know where he is coming up with his 10/100 buck to doe ratio? I just finished reviewing the G&F counts from last month...
