Came across this unfortunate buck. Would imagine he lost a side in the struggle
They need to reduce the late tags. The big Bulls are all grouped up with no where to hide. There has always been rifle hunts during the Rut. but since the implementation of late tags each unit has slowly dwindled
I actually had the pleasure to be on this hunt with these two guys. browngold was awesome to meet and an all around good guy. and Big perm is actually my brother in law and as good as they come. he's the first guy to help anybody out. being privileged to hunt with them was one of my most...
That is a tough hunt but there are some big Bulls on that unit. They will be in the ugly canyons where no one bothers them. Usually bachelored up. If you can find out where they shed you will find the late hunt bulls.
I spotted his ears at first. wasn't sure what I was looking at so I started to sneak towards it.
Now he's trying to disappear
I'm now about 10' away now. He jumped and took off just after this picture. Was probably about 30lbs.
I started out with a 7mm but was always a bit bigger. But a friend had a 7mm with a muzzle break. I watched a couple young girls use that gun growing up and they never complained. Easy to find ammo!
This part of an antler is from the Dutton. never saw him with it so I'm only guess what it was. it has part of a burr on it and at least two pieces broke off. one old break and one new break. but I believe it was his eye guard. hope the rest of it is as impressive!
I know of at least one set of 400" sheds picked up off that unit this year. absolute monster! also 4 that are over 370. should be an awesome tag. wish they would reduce the late tags on this unit (as well as others). there would be toads all over that unit again
