it says that it's for totally enclosed breach. I have an open breach. Should I try it anyways?

Traditions evelotion with 80gr loose pyrodex powder and a regular 209 primer. I didn't know they made a mag primer. Its fine when it's warm, but when it's cold, I can see flames coming out the barrel. I'll defiantly be trying the mag primers.

I've been practing when temps were 40+ degrees. Had a good 4" group at 100 yards, but when I went on my late hunt I missed. Then took it to the range, I couldn't even hit a piece of 4'x4' cardboard at 100 yards. Anyone else have problems with their muzzleloader when temps get below freezing?

If no one has hunted the area you'll be going, the elk will just stand there and watch you. My advice, glass. The more you glass, the less you hike. It doesn't seem very big, but it is! As far as the snow, bring chains for all four tires. Then you just have to worry about the road washing away...

I've been scouting a little and was wondering if anyone can post some big deer pics that has came from region G? Just so I could have some idea on what to look for.

September- first time hunting in Wyoming for deer. Been scouting already, LOVE the little hills in region G!!! October- just for my boys, Idaho deer and elk. November- drew a controlled hunt in Idaho for the second time in my life. Muzzleloader deer. December- late cow elk.

Deer: first day or last week for sure. They could be almost anywhere at anytime. Find different vantage points, both high and low, and keep watching everywhere. They have always came out when I least expect them. Moose: I see them here and there, but not like the last week in October. I agree...

One that I can actually "hunt". Where I can go into an area and see everything that lives there and how they live together; and not just spend a few hours or days, but weeks and months.

The elk seem to move from place to place depending on the hunting pressure, so to tell you a certain location would be useless. Try not to call to much, it doesn't take the elk long to know it's hunting season. I've learned to hunt without calling. Every bull I've harvested has had a broadhead...
