Well the MM community and the whole wide world lost one of it's best individuals yesterday to a terrible car wreck.

Ivan Mott was a great man, a wonderful father and loving husband. He and I have been friends since we were in our early teens and he was my very first hunting buddy outside of my family. I have a lot of great memories of hunting pheasants, quail, rabbits, and raccoons (well, we tried!!)and fishing with him on Ashley Creek in Vernal, Utah.
After High School, life took us in different paths and even though it had been more than 25 years since we had seen each other, thanks for MM and Facebook we have been able to remain close and he and I have had several conversations over the past few years about family, hunting, politics, religion, and life in general. When you talked to Ivan, you knew you would walk away from the conversation with a smile.
My heart is breaking right now for his family, their loss is great!! I ask that we all keep them in our thoughts and prayers. They will need them.
I will miss my friend.
HOOK 'EM!
