I drew the November rifle bull tag in 078,105,106,107, &109. I've been out quite a few times scouting and seen very few Elk. Has anyone here hunted this hunt and been successful? I've scouted in 105,106, & 107. Seen a few smaller Bulls and some cows but nothing I would want to put a tag on. Any...

It's toward the very end of the rut. There may be a few Bulls still chasing cows but most are off recovering from the rut by themselves or in small groups. It's a fantastic hunt! Good Luck!

My old man also could have killed bigger animals if my brother and I weren't so damn noisy!? My dad never left us behind when we were old enough to stomp around behind him! Thanks Pops!

My dad hunted this high country buck in the early 80's for a month straight and on the last day of the season he finally caught up to him.

He crashed under a pile of trees. I moved a bunch but he smelled so bad I had to stop before I threw up.

With the recent snow I would recommend chains. The main road is plowed but pulling off onto side roads might get you stuck.

I saw 5 or possibly six yesterday up medicine lodge creek (unit 59) near the Eddy School. They were clearly visible from the road and stalking a small Elk heard. I was working and didn't have my rifle with me. The elk are all down fairly low and the wolves are chasing the hell out of them.
