I drew the November rifle bull tag in 078,105,106,107, &109. I've been out quite a few times scouting and seen very few Elk. Has anyone here hunted this hunt and been successful? I've scouted in 105,106, & 107. Seen a few smaller Bulls and some cows but nothing I would want to put a tag on. Any...

It's toward the very end of the rut. There may be a few Bulls still chasing cows but most are off recovering from the rut by themselves or in small groups. It's a fantastic hunt! Good Luck!

My old man also could have killed bigger animals if my brother and I weren't so damn noisy!? My dad never left us behind when we were old enough to stomp around behind him! Thanks Pops!

My dad hunted this high country buck in the early 80's for a month straight and on the last day of the season he finally caught up to him.

He crashed under a pile of trees. I moved a bunch but he smelled so bad I had to stop before I threw up.

With the recent snow I would recommend chains. The main road is plowed but pulling off onto side roads might get you stuck.

I saw 5 or possibly six yesterday up medicine lodge creek (unit 59) near the Eddy School. They were clearly visible from the road and stalking a small Elk heard. I was working and didn't have my rifle with me. The elk are all down fairly low and the wolves are chasing the hell out of them.

Congrats!I drew this tag in 2013. I'm glad you aren't using a guide. I did DIY and nailed a 350' bull. There are a lot of bulls in that country and they aren't too awful hard to find. Good luck!

114-115 Late Cow is an extremely tough hunt with low harvest numbers. I drew it 3 years ago and the majority of the elk had moved out of 114 over into 111-112. I found a big herd in 115 but they were inside the Park boundaries and seldom came off. I put a ton of miles on (foot and truck) trying...

Buffington Pockets and the Muddy Mountains. There are sheep all over that country and ATV trails that go throughout most the area. I would recommend a good ATV over horses. The terrain is loose sharp rock and I wouldn't risk injury on a horse. Study sheep and know what to look for in a good one...

I drew 268. Had a lot of fun chasing sheep. I passed on quite a few and shot this guy the last day I could hunt. He's not the biggest Ram but he was wild and a hell of a lot of fun to hunt!

111-115 Muzzleloader Bull tag. I drew desert sheep with 7 points in 2014. Not bragging, just giving all you sheep fanatics hope. I realize how damn lucky I was. It was one of the best hunts I have ever been on! Best of luck to all!

My buddy had an archery Bull tag there. He hunted Gollaher for a few days and saw very little. He ended up moving eastward and hunted around the Goose creek area and started seeing deer and elk right away. He shot a monster 5x5 bull the third day he was there. He was seeing around 40 to 50 elk...

Morgan creek is a good access area, although all of that country is steep and rugged. It may be a place to check out though. There are quite a few roads you can drive to the top and drop a person off and they can hunt down. -MS

I'm guessing the mid to upper 160's. Very nice sheep!

Don't quite think he is in the 80's probably more in the lower 70"s. Has great mass and an awesome curl, but he lacks height. Doesn't matter to me though he is definately a trophy by any standard. Thanks for sharing!

Shot this guy last fall with 1 shot using two 50gr pyrodex pellets and a 300gr Scorpion gold bullet from Harvester Muzzleloading. He fell within 10 yards. Most accurate bullet I have ever shot through my TC. Good Luck! -MS

LittleBH, I checked out the harvest results from Ndow, they killed some big sheep out of there last season! Dang near half the tags were filled with sheep over 170. Getting more and more excited every day! You're right, pictures just add agony to the wait! LOL! Thanks, -MS
