Kinda bummed me out that I didn’t get the full range of highs and lows of elk hunting the rut but he ended up being the biggest out of 2 taken in the unit

Thanks! I forgot to mention it was opening morning, I only hunted elk for 3 hours. I feel blessed...

Spotted him at over 1m, made a plan, stalked in, set up, nephew let out 3 calls, he came in on a string to 35yrds and the .325wsm did its job! Thanks to my dad, nephew and son for being there! Special thanks to nephew for being a freaking animal with the 1m pack out!

On my antelope hunt last year we saw quite a few deer and a few decent bucks on Jordan Meadow Mt. other then that we saw them in the Kings River valley in the ag fields. Hopefully that helps out a bit...
