Thanks for the comments. Sounds like most of you guys know of Paul and his reputation. It's pretty awesome how he brought this grizz back to life. Pretty cool how taxidermy can bring all of those memories flooding back.

Had Paul Pennie do the taxidermy. So glad he decided to take on the work. The guy does an amazing job and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. To say that I'm pleased would be a major understatement.

Thanks guys. I'll check into some of these. I believe Sportsman's Warehouse sells the Hunt Data maps. I've looked at them and like them other than the fact that their Paunsaugunt map is split in half. East on one side, West on the other. Wouldn't be so bad but most of the stuff I want to...

Thanks for the comments and taking the time to read about the hunt. Don't post often but thought this was worth sharing. Hope the story does the experience justice and was worth the read.

Finally made it back.....here we go. Woke up the next morning, had an excellent "backpackers special" breakfast (instant oatmeal and coffee), did a little glassing and then packed up camp and snowshoed about another mile and a half to a better vantage point and set up camp permanantely. Home...
