Personally i try and setup to glass east facing slopes at first light. I think the deer typically like to get the sun first thing and then usually bed down. After around 10 or so they will all be bedded then I typically try and glass under every tree possibly to try and pick up bedded deer. I...
LAST EDITED ON Jun-07-19 AT 07:22PM (MST)[p]This deer was killed during that hunt. My tips are glass until your eyes feel like they're going to bleed..... and then glass some more. The beauty about coues deer is usually its for sure draws. If you don't have a tripod for your binoculars get, one...
Yeah i still have a long way to go. At my heaviest i was 300lbs. Now I'm at 265 so at least i should be lighter with my pack this year than i was without last year. And still have a few months to hopefully loose more. I was always the guy who made excuses and never really cared but finally i...
Yeah definitely my wife's bday was yesterday and that was the first meal with carbs I've had in like 6 weeks. Its crazy how your pallet changes. I ate a small DQ blizzard and couldn't finish it because of how sweet it was. I guess when you don't have any sugar for a while it becomes twice as sweet.
Definitely thanks for the encouragement. But im pretty sure i have gotten the bug so i don't plan on stopping anytime soon. It's definitely one of the things i look forward to everyday.
Yep im 32 i haven't been too vocal on most of these forums because i have typically only hunted my home state of Arizona and basically do most of my interaction on Facebook. We drew the second rifle tag for mule deer in unit 74 and hope to buy the otc elk tag too. Since i live in a az i have...
LAST EDITED ON Jun-05-19 AT 08:14PM (MST)[p]Your not one of those guys that always has to one up everyone are you. Lol just joking. Congratulations hope your hunts this year are everything you have ever waited for.
Agreed i had a clutch that I accidentally cut the shoulder strap on. They repaired for free as well as added a couple clips I requested that were not factory on the product but were needed. ie. hydration bladder only had one clip to hold the bladder at an angle and was just kind of a poor design...
So after hunting az coues most of my life I'm no rookie to rough terrain. For my whole life I've always said i can climb anywhere it just takes me a little longer than others. Well at the beginning of march I finally decided that im sick of not getting to the top as fast as my hunting buddies...
So now that results are out did you end up getting a tag and if so what did you decide to do. Im got the second season 74 tag. Im pretty stoked to finally hunt in Colorado.
Congratulations to you and your misses. Is Colorado similar to AZ as in if you buy a lifetime license before leaving you can save a ton of money down the road in future draws. If so it might not be a bad idea. Again congratulations and good luck.
