The burn scar holds plenty of deer. Was just up there and saw multiple bucks. For the most part it was a beneficial fire, more animals in the scar than out of it. You'll find them, good luck.

    Early season success

Had a great hunt. Elk were bugling everywhere and we were in them every morning and evening. Sat water one evening and this guy came in screaming. Did my best to settle the nerves and let one fly at 45 yards. Good luck to everyone else in the second season! The Beast is Dead, Long...

Any luck on the Ibex archery hunt?

Had a ton of fun. Whiffed at 38 yds, near vertical shot straight down. Very cool animals to just observe much less hunt. Good luck on your OIL! The Beast is Dead, Long Live the Beast. -The Nuge

Any Unit 52 Bow Hunters back?

I was there sep 1-8. Bulls bugled only between 11pm and 5am. Great for sleeping! Pretty sure the bridge project will be done before October 1. The muzzy hunt is great fun, they should be bugling. Have fun The Beast is Dead, Long Live the Beast. -The Nuge

    Double barbary rams

Went out with a few friends to look for some barbs. Our group split up and my buddy and I decided to go out and glass off a cliff. Band of ~20 sheep were right below us. Lucky?.....Yes. We both set up prone on the edge of the cliff and shot ~60 degrees downward at 200 yards. Two rams down. Not...

    Two CO bucks

My buddy and I drew 4th season rifle deer tags in CO this year. We had access to a small parcel of private that we were pretty much banking on, but on the second morning there we spotted a lion, and realized why no deer were there. We moved on to hunt small checkers of BLM wherever we could...

    Hunt of a Lifetime

My buddy and I drew some great elk tags this year. The hunt started well; bulls were bugling everywhere. We honed in on an area that held multiple bulls that sounded very mature, and on the second day of the hunt we both had an opportunity. He was a nice 6x6, and upon release my arrow found a...
