Lots of young bucks this year. We hunted it this year. Saw 20+ deer a day but no big bucks.

I've seen deer/bucks in areas still smoldering. Animals will congrigate to fire areas for different reasons...flea/tick repel, fresh green feed etc. I wish the whole state would burn.....

Why not just hunt with the 150? It'll kill any mule deer just fine. I shoot the Nosler 120 gr Ballistic Tip for everything out of my 280 Ackley.

Pick a finger ridge and start up it. The deer stay up in the rocks until belly deep snow pushes them down. I had the rifle tag last year. We hunted both sides. Plenty of deer on either side.
