I was just wondering if the majority of the deer stay on the Henery's mountain range in the winter.
Im not sure how much snow that mountain range gets,

The bucks on the Henry's are well known to have underground bunkers where the cattle ranchers give them pedicures and testicle massages all winter long.

I was down there picking up sheds the other day and had the place all to myself. Surprised me more people wouldn’t be out picking up all those giants. The big ones are so much easier to see too.

The reason I put this post out there is, I have 24 res points and thinking about burning them on the muzzy hunt this year.
I am still not sure if im at max points with 24 but want to hunt with my muzzy on a good unit.
Im not sure if winter kill on the Henrys is a problem or not???
Im hopping WLH and Mossback and Garett and let me see I think 129 other outfitters have the lions under control down there!!!

You'll be competing with those big names on the only 4 bucks worthy of 24 points.

@bucks be careful with the advice you get. One of the guys above hunted the best unit in the state and shot a 160 buck.

Get after it. You’ll get a big buck if you put in the effort.

If you have 24BPs, I would say its not a guaranteed Muzzy tag on the Henry's. With only 5 Bonus tags last season, nobody in your BP pool got a tag. There are 31 people with 25BPs or more this year, and while most of them put in for the Henry's Rifle tag and the A.I. tag (stupid imho), its likely at least one will put in for the Henry's Muzzy tag, maybe more. There's even a chance that 24BPs isn't even in the Bonus tag pool again this year for Henry's muzzy, if enough people jump to that hunt...

If you want a guaranteed hunt on a premium unit, you'll want to look elsewhere... You'd get Oak Creek or Paunsy rifle tags for example.

So really the question is: Do you want to hunt the Henry's, or do you want to hunt this year.? You have a chance at the Henry's, but you could be guaranteed a hunt elsewhere, if you want. Good luck.!!

I drove 5 hours to go walk my cat there. I've heard there are lots of us out harassing deer this time of year?.
