10PP for Wyoming mule

If you have a lot of time to scout and find bucks that meet what you’re looking for you can do it on your own, if you don’t have time to scout than an outfitter should be able to up your odds for success. Best of luck!

That's a tough one. If I had the money, I'd hire a guide. Especially, if you do a unit with a lot of wilderness.

Depends on your expectations. If you would be happy shooting a 160 or better buck you should go DIY. With 10 points you could draw region G and have a great probability of getting that or better. I would not worry about scouting it as you will likely have other hunters in the area. Hunt the whole 16 day season if needed and enjoy yourself. A guide might get you a bit better buck but is it worth the money?

Maybe on private ground use an outfitter, where access gives you a better opportunity at whatever your looking for. Never on public ground.

Filled our tags, drove a lot of miles, didn't see a lot of Deer but enough to keep the interest going. Shot the two biggest we saw.

Even top points in Wyoming don't increase your odds much in the way of bagging a quality buck in Wyoming. Certainly an outfitter's knowledge and assistance would help, but deer numbers and quality are way down after last winter's losses.
I'd check with several outfitters if you go that route and ask for references from this year. Successful and unsuccessful. That will paint a truer picture of what you can expect.
Good luck

I had no interest in hunting Deer for the years prior, just bought the points. When I decided to do a hunt, I looked at what I could draw and picked what I thought was the best hunt area. There weren't a lot of choices. 10 points was simply the market price for the area. I haven't hunted any other WY areas so I have nothing to compare it to.
