Interesting new bill requiring Firearms insurance

So, you’re exempt if you are indigent but have a gun safe? I believe a locker at the bus station should do. Jeez…

My assumption would be that it would be an after the fact ticket. Theres no way to enforce it prior to an issue occurring unless they know for certain you own weapons and don't have coverage. Just more BS they can't enforce.
Or they make us show proof of Ins when applying for any gun license?
Also the feds have a record of any firearm purchase we all legally made in like the last 25 years.
Just more bullshit and hurdles

I could definitely see them asking for proof of insurance at the checkout counter. How long before mandatory in home inspections becomes a thing?

I don't think CPW officers would ask. I doubt that they would want to open that can of worms. I sure hope for the sake of Colorado resident firearm owners that this dictatorial crap doesn't pass.

I used to wish for the big one and cali to fall in the ocean, not sure what it will take to purge the front range.

It’s a lifeline to the insurance industry. They going to need a new revenue stream to replace the animal collision damage after all the animals are gone.

The state is going after firearms as hard as possible. A ban on all "assault" weapons.

Anything with a threaded barrel, and yes that does include your interchangeable choked shotguns.

The state wants to implement their own FFL license.....which makes absolutely zero sense because there already is a required FFL, so they inadvertently want a state firearms license.

It's not out yet, but they want the 72 hour hold to become a 7 day hold.

State wants background checks for ammo, just like comifornia.

There is an absolute absurd amount of things the left State of Colorado is trying to do, and the big groups that are fighting for our rights are sadly dwindling.

So a couple things to watch...

1. The assault weapons ban could be a distraction. Meaning that everyone will focus on it and the others will slip under the radar.

2. Did you realize that one of the bills will require all firearms in a vehicle to be cased. Long guns etc. So come hunting season that would get really interesting depending on how the law was written and finally passed.

3. Imagine that in the future companies are anti gun. As a result some insurance companies will not do any work with gun owners. Thus artificially limiting the supply of insurance providers. Limited supply means a higher cost. This could apply to insurance for the gun but also insurance for your house, car, boat, etc.

Thats the biggest thing. They always sneak a few of then In another bill on page 20000 or some crap.

The cased law has been a back and forth battle for a long time, they just always put it under different wording. "Transportation" was a big discussion last year. They tried pushing last year your firearm had to he in a locked case, in the trunk, with ammo and any other accessories separated in another locked box.
