I need a boring muzzle break

Here is my biggest found from the road.

Missed more with my bow than a rifle. Shot a bunch of shots at a bull we ended up killing after my brother in law missed. He took off running out through the open and so I took a couple shots. No idea the range.

Next attempt at steel is a mile and yes I have shot a lot. Have to be really comfortable with my set up and conditions to shoot over 600 at something alive. The 3 animals I killed in 2022 were at 653, 658, and 325. Here is my elk at 658.

Give me another reason to move to Wyoming. Lol

There is a pretty good list between 17 REM to my 30-378 Wby. Most have been 7 WSM over the past decade. Finally shot the barrel out of it. Tried to get it rebarreled with a proof carbon, but my guys don’t do Winchester actions. My new favorite is my 6.5 PRC. I killed 2 deer and an elk this year...

Wyoming success

Money comes and goes. That said, I would be much happier hunting another premium unit that presents more challenge.

Right at 30” have a couple 29” but they don’t make 30”

Congrats again man! Last year was such a great time, but hard to watch you go home without firing a shot in Wyoming. This year watching your and your kids make memories for a lifetime and a bonus stud deer was priceless.

I had a badlands pack and it made it very tough. Looking for a new pack!

The pack out was roughly 3.5 miles and 2000’ in elevation change if I remember correctly. The pack I had did not do well.

I was born in the 70s, so I doubt you are 30 or 40 years older.

After grinding out a season last year in Wyoming and passing some good bucks I won the lottery and drew another tag with 0 points. I was in disbelief to say the least. With some great friends helping out, I was able to take this buck. He is nearly a twin to my last WY buck. Photo opportunity...

Older dry cow from last year. Tastes pretty good to me. Same as the last one I shot. Tenderloins are like rubber if you try and cook them. Made the whole thing into hamburger.

With some seasons started but most just ahead of us I wanted to throw out a question: If you have or do spend a good amount of time scouting. Maybe you draw a limited tag and find a really good buck or bull to target. You focus your efforts and plan to start hunting there. As the season opens...
