Asking for any advice for Colorado area 6 4th season. What caliber of bucks to expect etc.... willing to trade information for region 10 in Nevada and elk in Utah for any advices thanks.

Everything west of the pass will result in loss of hunting privileges and possible jail time. Hunting there sucks anyways because of all the tree huggers on the resorts. There one around every corner and they scare all the animals off.

Drew the Nevada late rifle tag for unit 10 and was wondering if anyone had pics of bucks they've shot or any good places out there to hunt. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

My daughter, her husband and I all drew CWMU cow elk tags for Ensign Ranches. I thought there was an old post regarding the property, but I could not find it. Does anyone have any experience/advice for this hunt? Any information is greatly appreciated.

I have a little experience on Monte Cristo during the archery season. There are some elk there, but nothing to get excited about. I've never seen big herds, but then the archery season is pretty early. Single or groups of 2-4 are pretty much the norm. Good luck!

I retired from the Air Force and remained in Utah because of employment. I hunted Curtis Ridge in the Monte Cristo area last fall for elk and was totally overwhelmed by the lack of elk sign and the numbers of people. Is there someplace else I should look for a better chance of success? I'm not...

Avoid the Daimond Creek area. It has been way overhunted, but evryowhere you look on the internet states Daimond Creek is the greatest spot on earth for elk. That was true 10 - 15 years ago. I've the Tex Creek area id OK, but have no experience there.

2006 Idaho tags are already on sale and sold out in some areas. Can't help you this year, but if you want to hunt Idaho it's time to get tags. Buying on line will save you the trip. Good luck!
