I agree with Mule shoe great place to start. Although a lot of wilderness area check out the west side of the patterson pass area. Mid season hunt they will be crossing the road all morning. Rex USAF Retired

Seen lots of elk in 111 2 yrs ago. Had a lot of fun sneaking in on them.

Hunted deer 2 yrs ago 111E. Seen lots of elk every day. 1 nice 7pt bull. Didn't fill my deer tag but could have filled an elk go figure
