Good hunting? That’s pretty funny! The hunting is so “good” you can’t shoot muley does on public land in regions 6 or 7 anymore, some of the region 4 districts in around the breaks went to draw only mule deer tags for everyone! This guy is about 20 years to late for the “good” hunting…

Montana will soon be a draw only for everyone, the deer hunting is in shambles and the out of staters are out of control! More power to ya, you can come be miserable with the rest of us on the ridiculously overcrowded public lands it’s a lot of fun let me tell you what

If they units are capped though it would force people to the western side of the state instead of everyone being in regions 6/7

They would have to but a cap on it! It’d be nice if they let the locals of their respective region have a general tag for that region and if others want to hunt it they set a capped number and it’s a draw for that number for people from other regions and non res get 10 percent of the number they...

I guess the no doe hunting on public in region 6/7 is a start in the right direction! More is going to have to change though

I can tell you the amount of just bucks in region 6 is at an all time low… the amount of people was at an all time high

Never hunted out of state… never had a reason to but with the way the over crowded **** show is in Montana and the way our mule deer population is on a terrible downhill spiral I may just have to start looking other places! It’s a bummer Montana keeps on its same path my kids aren’t going to...

It was 48 or 50 percent in region 6 I believe! Can’t believe it’s not higher with the amount of non res you see in region 6

It has gotten that much worse regions 6 and 7 are over ran with more people and way less deer his experience won’t be the same as it was when he first went

Haha you said 600 I know a landowner that had almost 4000 people sign into his box! 600 is laughable at best region 6 is overcrowded and the deer population is in the shitter

They should do it by hunting district and have it capped with a certain number of hunters, with preference to locals then residents then non residents be a good way to spread people out or do it by region and everyone that lives in that region gets a general tag for said region and everyone else...

FWP really doesn’t manage anything at all! The only thing they do well is sell way to many tags to non residents to line those greedy pockets of theirs!

All of Montana is covered up with people anymore doesn’t matter where you go! More damn people than animals anymore!

Eastern (north and south) also north central Montana is over hunted and flat out ruined! If you want to see a **** load of people and a few small deer by golly this is the place for you! Good luck you are going to need it.

Haha you don’t have to tell me anything my wife has drawn tag multiple times and the 50 tags still isnt worth the quality anymore good luck to you… if you want to kill an ok bull better go with warren if not you will most likely eat your tag or shoot a shot head… for the one asking for help you...

To be honest the whole hi line could be world class for deer but it never will be because mt fwp cares about non res and their money and that’s it! But I do agree with your statement

7 bucks to 100 does and those bucks aren’t worth a **** and elk hunting I. The breaks isn’t even close to what it used to be

I agree with that also! I think starting possibly when antelope rifle does and ending like veterans weekend would be ideal?! Maybe give a handful of tags residents only can apply for to hunt the rut! What mt fwp is doing is horrid for “management”

your going to be disappointed in the age class of deer hopefully you enjoy spending a couple grand to either shoot a less then average mule deer or have tag soup

Right there with ya! Seems like all the meetings are the same… fwp does they thing and everyone gives opinions and what they are seeing first hand and then fwp does the exact opposite! If you find someone willing to take it on I’m sure there will be plenty of people to help back it!
