RoyalTooth's 2021 Desert Bighorn from the Hatchets

They estimated 7.5. Some other knowledgeable folks think 8.5 or 9.5, so I'm not sure.

RoyalTooth's 2021 Desert Bighorn from the Hatchets

Was one of the really lucky ones to draw a Desert sheep tag this past year. Hunted the Hatchet mountains the last week of October. Mozey came down to help me out in addition to a few others. I've moved to Alaska since drawing the tag, so had to travel back down for the hunt. We hunted the...

    NM Bugle Report

I'm Mozey's buddy (and I'll tell you it's good to be buddies with Mozey). I'd like to thank him for all his help with my hunt. Also, I can report for the hunters this weekend, as of yesterday, the bulls were still vocal! Good luck out there!

Last year my wife harvested a deer less than a week before her due date. Then she hunted elk (unsuccessfully) a week after the baby came. It made the hunts interesting, but I guess it comes down to personal preference for your family. I know, personally, my wife wouldn't have a problem with me...

deer and sheep results are up

Wife's first year ever putting in and she drew 12A west late. I told her we need to head to Vegas right now. She's excited though, already wants to go to the gun range. No tag for me this year, but I will probably enjoy helping my wife even more than if I had the tag myself. Congrats to all who...

    Ethical/Legal question for archery hunters

I have access to a cabin for the late season archery bull elk hunt along the rim. The land owner has given me permission to hunt this land, but I wanted to get some input as to whether it would be legal/ethical to take an elk on the property with a bow as it is in close proximity to other...
