24 deer points for a 180 buck on ANY unit is insane. Think of how many opportunities a guy misses out on in that time waiting for a ‘maybe’ big deer.

It’s always funny to see guys get nailed multiple times for hunting without a license or tag, then they suspend their hunting privileges for life as part of the punishment from a judge. Uh.... the lack of tag wasn’t an issue for them to begin with. It’s sure not gonna be a big deal moving forward.

Just cuz the youth hunt is in “the rut” doesn’t mean it’ll be good by any means. Your Idaho youth hunts are far better than what utah has. But more power to you!

It didn’t really turn out to be a slim chance at filling that tag from what I understand. They hammered the bison on that hunt and the res dudes are PIZZZZZED about it hahahahha

Utah draw deadlines are the same res and non res hunters. Every person rolls the dice on the unit they apply for and tags given that year. That’s just how it goes in Utah. Biologists don’t know tag numbers yet. Some they have no idea and won’t for another couple months.

If you’re an avid hunter, you don’t need an email or a forum post to remind you when to apply for tags.

Plan on hoping to draw a tag for the next 15+ years. That’s the best advice I can give you.
