I love your thread. A true 180” buck in almost any state with a bow is tough. Throw in ice snow and so frighten cold that when you get in range you can barely draw your bow. I have a 200” ram on the wall but this bow buck from 2-B is my favorite trophy!

444 is an easier tag to pull for a reason. Mostly little ranchettes around basalt MT. No access, where there is access you have hikers, walkers,dog people mountain bikers and anti hunters walking the public grounds. Early seasons when deer are high not many issues.

Sent you a pm. Great place. Matt is a local cattle rancher that is from the area. He is very accommodating. Took my wife and 4 kids and killed a great ram with them.

Thanks for the info! I hope to find her a tag as well. Time off school is an issue these days especially to go hunting. The Nevada dates are prior to school so it works great if I can get her a tag.

My wife drew the Rifle tag for this August. Looking for a landowner tag for my 17 year old daughter, this is her last fall before college and it would be fun for them to hunt together. Any tips? Is there a list of ranches that might have tags at fish and game? Thanks, Rob

How wide is he? Congrats! As anyone that hunts knows, when you harvest any game with an arrow you are on another level!

Take a good look at the G-5 units. Mine has 4 pins. 20,30,40 and my floater dials from 50 to 90. If a guy started at 30 yds with your bow cranked down your floater should get you to 100 or a little more.

We were in unit one for the late hunt and also saw a wolf just north of Alpine. No pics as it was on the move and gone in a few seconds. My kids got a good look at it so that was pretty cool. It was almost in the village.

Also if you are thinking of tent camping I would use some caution. We saw plenty of vagrants sleeping on the forest pull offs. I hope you find a whopper. The fun IS the hunting part. I have also killed multiple record book animals and can tell you straight up these guys are telling you straight...
