Now it says the archery equipment section has been updated. It does not say you cannot use a rangefinding sight anymore.

I called and the guy I spoke to was very uninformative. He basically said if it's in the book then that's the rule.

So the book cliffs archery only units have been eliminated and if I read correctly you cannot use a rangefinding sight such as the Garmin xero for bears but you can for big game? Anyone have some insight on these changes?

If you go east a little ways the canyon kind of opens up and that is where I get confused. Last year I saw some guys rifle hunting cow elk on the red butte/emigration ridge and wondered if they are allowed to do that?

Does anyone know if On X maps or some other website has a specific hunting boundary map for red butte canyon? I have looked at the dwr website but it's not very clear where the boundary lies. Thanks

Hey fellas I was just wondering, how long did it take everybody to kill their first big game animal with a bow? I just finished my second season archery hunting and both have been unsuccessful but I am determined to get it done next year.

I use muzzy mx3's and just finished broadhead tuning. Now my field points are way off. Thinking of switching to mechanicals. I've heard they fly much more similar to field points.

Just a little update. Shot the bow this morning with the new stabilizer. It really helped steady the bow and I was able to hold my pin on the target a little longer. I would definitely recommend it.

I will just be using it for hunting. How do you like the 6 inch? I have a 4 inch on my bow right now. I was just wondering if it makes a big difference in the bow to get a 9 inch over the 6 inch.
