How bad does it have to get

Many great ideas being discussed here which actually might make an impact and give our dwindling deer populations a chance to recover from the many different variables that have contributed to their demise over the last couple of decades. There's one problem though, all these ideas and possible...

    Spring Bear

100 percent accurate, probably a few spots you could take some pack goats into and still be legal but probably not far enough to get away from the houndsmmen.

    Spring Bear

Check out the Snake River side of 22, plenty of canyons and basins to get back into and the area is loaded with bear. You can come in from the top around the Cuprum area and drop off to the river or do the reverse and come in from the bottom.

Sorry to ruffle your feathers there kawkbill. Hope you can heal your feelings in your safe spot. It was super douches such as yourself that I knew would take the bait.

    22 muley tag

I'm truly surprised, no one took the bait and bashed my balls into oblivion about asking for advice on a coveted tag that I "had no idea" about. Good on you fellas, you passed the morality test. I couldn't help myself and decided to post this bullsh*t, I didn't draw the tag, I was simply seeing...

    22 muley tag

Really? Guess I got absolutely **** house lucky. I spent a day and a half there cross country skiing a few years back and remembered some people in the Cafe talking about the unit, when I was applying for tags I just threw it in the hat. Wish I had time to get up there for a day and scout...

    22 muley tag

Pulled a 22 deer tag and curious if anyone has had the tag in the past few years. Almost didn't get to the store in time to apply and I was frantically flipping through the regs and giving the clerk hunt numbers. Any info on this hunt and the unit is greatly appreciated because I I work out of...

IDFG -- NR Licenses & Tags on Sale Dec. 1

I truly hope all you salty a$$ MF's spread the word about your feelings towards Idaho's non-resident system to all your like minded friends. It makes me happy knowing that many outdoorsmen won't be encountering your whiny, entitled a$$es in the future. Adios douche bags!

    New to Idaho unit 39

You are delirious if you think the herd quality/ mature buck quality in 39 is better off today then it was 10 years ago. There's a HUGE difference in "knowing where to look and how to hunt high pressured deer" and the quality of a deer herd.

    NR Fees

I don't understand why everyone is hung up on the price increase when the actual good news (for residents anyway) is that F&G is finally going to further cap non resident tag sales. https://idfg.idaho.gov/press/fg-commission-looks-manage-nonresident-hunters-and-seeks-nonresident-fee-increase

    Unit 22 Torched

Just curious, got a buddy that drew the tag this year and he's been losing sleep about the size of the burn and the amount of ground that is more than likely going to be closed off. Still plenty of area left to find a bruiser though.

Youth Idaho Elk Hunt Unit 31 Brownlee Oct 1st-14th

Any plan on getting boots on the ground before the season? I would highly recommend it, it's a big unit with lots of steep and deep if you're willing to plunge into it. Plenty of animals to chase on the national forest, and plenty of big deep pockets to get into and away from roads and trails...

Well said, and thanks for trying to mitigate some of the nonsense on here. It's sickening and sad at the same time to see fellow "sportsman" be little and degrade others on a site that's meant to be a resource. Good on you for taking it down. "The lion and the tiger may be more powerful...

    Crow elk in 32-1

Weather pushes a majority of the animals into this unit but they don't stay on public ground too long.
