    Muzzy Break vs. Supressor

We set up a .300 with a suppressor and oh my my! What a pleasure to shoot. Seriously a dream to shoot. We shot through a box of shells before we even knew it. Get all the benefits of a muzzle brake without the negatives. I don't know if I can ever shoot a muzzle brake again...

Wildlife Conservation-How should we raise money for wildlife projects?

Buy more firearms, ammunition, archery equipment, fishing equipment and tackle, electric outboard motors and fuel for motorboats and small engines. It's called the Pittman Robertson tax. State Wildlife Agencies rely on these federal taxes to operate. As much as some of these states hate big...

    Camo?

Kryptek is way to far down your list. I have a bunch and it is top notch, lightweight, quality gear. Plus they don't create this false demand like Kuiu and have to order and wait months to get your camo. There is a reason you see the kryptek type pattern on some of the most camouflage...

Pinyon-Juniper Forests: BLM?s False Claims to Virtue

Yes it is a very biased article. There are people out there that favor "hands-off" management with the premise mother nature will manage the landscape. There are decent points in the article but again they are one sided. There are ecological sites that function as pinion/juniper woodlands...

    Bird dog hunting videos

Not to be a purest or snobby type but if you aren't putting the dong on wild birds then the creeping and crowding may not stop. Fact is pen raised birds allow dogs to creep and pressure in ways that wild birds won't tolerate. Wild birds make great teachers, pen raised not so much. A season of...

    Most accurate fixed broadhead?

I think that is a question really without a correct answer. Every single bow is going to perform a little differently, even bows of the same manufacturer and model. And then on top of that each will be tuned a little different. That means each and every bow will shoot a broadhead a little...

    Information on REI ... Anyone?

Sally Jewell was the former president and CEO of REI and is now the Secretary of the Department of the Interior under which the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service falls. Right now there is an initiative to expand hunting and fishing on the National Wildlife Refuge System. Just a gee whiz fact and...

    Greater Sage Grouse

Whatever you do don't mount it in full strut if it is a male. So many have tried but they differ in body and plumage structure during the hunting season vs. mating season. They just don't turn out.

    Broadhead of Choice????

Shot the EPEK's for a few years. Suffered through the design changes but continued shooting them because they were local and they shot just like the field point. Killed a few critters too. Wasn't blown out of the water impressed but they worked. I finally gave up on them though. One of the...

    what happened to

Probably nothing, that is why we haven't heard anything. By the way take what the USFS guy said with a grain of salt. They have no regulatory authority over wolf management or what happens.

    Alder Mt.

That there is why you build wildlife conducive fences. That fence is overkill. A 4 strand 42" tall fence will hold livestock and let wildlife pass. Wildlife will get the blame for ruining the fence but IMO the landowner is to blame. Just some of my observations from the pic.

hierarchy of needs for the archer

I feel your pain/excitement with the twins. Been there done that (and still doing it). Range finder for me. I suck at estimating yardage when I am in the woods. Stabilizer wasn't even that important for me. I found out I shoot just as good with my bow without it and it saved me some...

    Merrell Moab Mid Boot Review

Be warned, mine are a year old and the sole is separating and they are far from waterproof (this stuff happened months ago). I haven't even had them out hiking that much and kept them in the closet quite a bit. I would give them a 2 out of 10 because i'm in a good mood.
