Try the smaller shops. Finally getting a few cases of 6.5 PRC, 7mm mag and 7.62 Nato in from my distributors. The online market keeps snagging up ammo before reaching the local stores...

Unfortunately there will have been 2,125 public land draw deer hunts prior to that youth hunt. Deer don’t typically rut down south here until late December and January.

So I will say I use my Kuiu as my primary pack while hunting and use it to pack out the first load, but I switch packs to my Mystery Ranch for the remaining loads. I'm shooting the recommended load of 4 Triple 7 pellets and supplied 250 grain barnes and getting sub moa groups. Swabbing in between shots and trigger adjustment has resulted in an accurate muzzleloader. Putting it to use on my muzzleloader elk and ibex hunts this year.

You can get a Savage Long Range 6.5 CM off grabagun for $599...and I can tell you that rifle is the most accurate rifle out of the box and already has a muzzlebrake. Shooting hornady 143 gr has almost no kick, but it might be a little heavy.

Just cut the lock! It's public land!

It's legal as long as you remove it within 10 days of the season you are hunting. Otherwise you are baiting.

Heard gun shots all the time during archery season in unit 53. Even the game warden told me ahead of time the locals hunt archery with a 300 win mag compound bow!

Think the session is over March 21...introduced this late it's dead in the water.

Deadline for harvest reporting is February 15, but sheep season goes through the end of the month. I'm getting prompted to submit my harvest result before applying for hunts. Anybody got clarification from NMG&F on this reporting deadline?

RE: Are Deer Worms Normal? They are called nasal bots and all harvested deer I've seen have them. Nothing to worry about, just can't imagine a deer living with them.

What's awesome is that his G-1 to G4s on both sides are all over 20 inches.

Been waiting almost a year for EBJ to publish my success archery elk hunt...got tired of waiting so I'll share!

Here's a 32" public land muley we got down here a couple years ago, but as you can see he's no 180" plus. We don't get trigger happy and ones this size are few and far between. Just would love to find a place where 180" or bigger is the norm. Keep sharing suggestions please!
