Shed hunting is a effn joke now. A season will never ever work. What needs to happen is for the sport to go underground like it used to be, but that will never happen either.

Id say your 3-7 are right on the money. I think there are so many people shed hunting now, everyone is finding less and less every year. Everyone I've talked to about has found less.

Broke 100" last month with this one. Had it scored at 100 7/8" non typical, 88 typ. 26 5/8 main beam Definitely a rush to find a shed that big

I probably glass alot more for elk, mainly because they are on steep slopes, but if you can get some elevation above sage flats for deer, glassing will work too.

Oldhornhunter, I'm not going to tell you when you should shed hunt, but do you think maybe all the deer are a mile away from where they spent the last two months is because of the 100 plus shed hunters that just walked through that area?

I got to go with hornkiller here, probably cause I'm also from Ut. That's cool that he found a couple of sheds, but it doesn't make much sense to me to shed hunt in Jan or even early Feb. Give it a month and you'll find more. I agree that the deer may not mind to much see a human WALKING...

I cringe every time I read or hear about the Utah Division of Wondering Retards ideas. The deer already get slaughtered enough as it is and now they want a rifle hunt during the rut? Thats unbeliveable.
