    6,16,17,171,161 Fourth Season Deer

I won't give any precise details, but this buck came from one of those 5 units, second rifle in 2013. https://ibb.co/iRpyS8

    Mike Brownlee

Thanks everyone for the serious replies. For those who were "killed" by this post, sorry to have inconvenienced your life. Just seems he's got pics and videos of his success out by now. Whether you agree with how he does things or not, which I'm also conflicted on, he seems to find some giants...

    Mike Brownlee

Not looking to be inflammatory, but where has he been this year? Have not seen a governor's buck with his smiling face or anything else. Anyone have any info? Again, not looking to start anything, just an honest question.

Call me crazy, but I'd say he's pushing 200. It always seems a little smaller backs don't hold up the score as much as smaller fronts.

    2015 Governers Tag Bull

LAST EDITED ON Oct-01-15 AT 09:33AM (MST)[p]Awesome bull! I saw online that it green nets 388 and change, not a bad bull at all.

    "Triple X"

What an awesome buck! Do you know the ballpark green net? At 226" gross, 6-8 inches of nontypical points and 7-10 inches of symmetry deductions, he's got to be close to the current record.

    Potential Muzzleloader World Record

That was the caption of this guy on Colorado bucks and bulls' Facebook page. Does anyone have any word on this buck? It says the buck was taken by Brandy Williams, but lists no unofficial score. He's got to net over 200", I'd think though.

    Colorado Gov. Tag Buck

From what I've gathered, he applied for/received a resident deer tag in the state of Wyoming when he was not actually a resident, in the days of Popeye (late 90s). Not sure if he harvested or any other details than that.

Anybody else see this beast yet? I saw Brownlee posted it on Muley Connection's Facebook page. Impressive buck, for sure.

    How big?

Call me a terrible judge, but I'm thinking he's much larger than 180 gross, I'm thinking he's got to gross mid to upper 190s with those great forks all around.
  15. C

    Could be over 30" ... I don't know???

I'd wager him to be 27" wide and right about 185 gross range, great buck!
  16. C

    How wide is this one?

I'm saying 30" outside, it'd certainly get an arrow with my standards.
  17. C

    Your biggest buck?

2013 Colorado buck, 5X7, 35 inches outside with cheaters and would net high 170s typical.

    Video of "Colorado's Deer"

Must've missed that part the first time, I did notice the 200k offer part the second time. I'd have a hard time turning that much money down as well, tough decision.

I see on Mossback's Facebook page that the other Antelope Island buck was taken today; 32" wide, 226 and change nontypical.

    Lee's Meat buck

I asked this very question about 6 months ago, no one is really sure, but most likely it has been tarnished simply by being owned by Darner. This article is probably a dozen years old, so I can only deduce that something went wrong along the way to world record-dom.

    I JUST PEED A LITTLE!!

Yes, just the typical frame, as stated above.

    I JUST PEED A LITTLE!!

What a beast! Love that big typical frame he's got, wonder how big it goes? 215"?

    Jackson county cow elk ?

Sounds like he was near the sand dunes up there. A number of years ago, when deer were over the counter, I remember my dad saying they would go to the dunes because the area was filthy with them. I'm guessing the elk are still higher up the mountain at this point, until there gets to be some...

    Jackson county cow elk ?

What part of Jackson county did he look into? I've hunted unit 161 for the past dozen years or so and have always had pretty good luck on Independence Mountain. The number of elk there is largely contingent on the weather, but there is a large enough local herd there. Its certainly not the place...

    colorado 255

I second your opinion YBO, but chalked it up to my unfamiliarity with that specific area. I sorta thought it was all rolling brush hills out there.

Ah, Mike Brownlee is still at it... Hell of a buck, that's for sure.

On my morning hike I spotted this guy at about 30 yards and he couldn't care less that I was walking through. I've got 5 or so pics if I could email the pics to someone so they can post them to this thread? Thanks all, Chris

    First Colorado Buck

Thank ya kind sir, gotta hope a muley wins deer of the year!
  39. C

    First Colorado Buck

I never have had him officially scored, but by my own calculations, he's about 176 net, after the 6 1/2" in deductions for his cheaters. He's a hell of a buck that just doesn't quite have a corresponding b&c score.
