I’m not super informed on the situation, I was under the impression an elk was legally killed on public land very close to town. If I am mistaken I apologize. The infighting between hunting will be our downfall and there are tags available in these areas to reduce the herds for various reasons.

The vast majority of people that have an issue with this also have an issue with our ability to hunt in general. They are whittling away piece by piece maybe everyone should figure out which side they’re on.

As far as size of bull what is realistic? I would love to shoot a 330 class bull but would probably take a 300 if it stepped out. Is that unrealistic?

My dad drew the October tag, the properties we have access to aren't typically very good during november. You just end up watching smoker bucks a thousand yards away chasing does on the other side of the canyon where we can't go.
