Went to Socooro Wed. to hear NMG&F proposals & options. Public comment period is open,online. There will be meetings for Gen.Public . Places & dates online too. Much needed reviews & ideas being discussed. So instead of twittering about, read & ask ?'s

Go to NMG&F website & look under commission then propossed changes.....

Ditto I am a public lands hunter, landowner & BHA member,but will not support NMWF anymore.Might even quit BHA if they do not come up with a better solution than just blame greedy LO's. Seems like a lot of folks want all the tags,twice the number of hunters on the same public lands & more locked...

Well the book has always said it will be the 25th. Talking to local wardens wife today she is as anxious as anyone,but we think they screwed up doing it early last year & everyone expects it now in entitlement land(my thoughts). So if it isn't Wed.18th it will be 25th & still quicker than any...

This is 2nd time on a site I have seen the # of applicants this year named. How do they know if the draw has not been published? Did I miss that one E-mail of the dozen or so from G&F this week? LOL Fri the 13th I say,just to screw with us.

Still hoping to hunt the Gila /Aldo Wilderness just once for elk. Or any true Gila tag...any local deer would be fine by metoo.

I believe Joe is right. There are R & NR tags. But I would check with SF ,as I never bother with them with my luck... A buddy & I helped a guy with one of the Gov. Elk tags last year & he was from LA. Been offered finders fees for help from other NR Gov tag holders over the years.

I usually get a notice to contacts in Apr. & the #'s are issued a month or 2 before hunts start.Usually. I'm RO outside COER. I have also not received #'s til after hunt seasons started once. You can contact SF G&F office.They are most helpful to me.

Critters still looking very healthy this year in SW,but we need some more snow or rain. Hopefully in next couple weeks. Til then hopefully Monsoons will come,& early. Springs & seeps pretty dry now. NO snowpack to speak of here.

...and then I saw where he went. Vinie & Bugle said it all. Ditto the drop camp for that hunt,I had a blast.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-13-17 AT 01:44PM (MST)[p]I spent a month @ Cape Beal Lighthouse & Bamfield area back in 80's. Was wet 99% of the time & still had a blast. Wore hip boots every were...lol. Came back with tons of salmon & halibut,a buck & a bear.

Had to get into the wet bush eh? Did you toast with a Kokanee or Hudson Bay rye,Eh? Congrats Mosey! See any elk up there? I never did when I was there years ago.I did see a moose one day at a pond I was fishing.
