There's no reason it needs to take this long. Several states have it under two weeks now. Nevada's due date is today and they've already promised results by the 20th.

Yep. The cameras have gone way too far. Follow Nevada's lead with a seasonal closure on cameras. When conditions get dry in the southwest, big game animals HAVE to come to water and get their picture taken. They have absolutely no choice to avoid this pressure. NOT fair chase.

Elk mountain used to be awesome, but with the high tag numbers now, it has people crawling all over it. A little too easy to access.

I hunted 54 3rd season in 2017. It was decent but not spectacular. First time I had hunted it though, so I don't really have the perspective to say how it compared to the "glory days".

I believe that picture is from Arizona about 10 years ago and not a cactus buck.
