I've been working in the Strawberry valley the last couple of weeks, and it's nice to see they are putting up a fence. It starts at the road shed and goes to the ladders so far. I just wish they would of started 20 years ago but better late than never. The Strawberry valley has been a slaughter...
That's the best thing the DWR done in a long time.It should of been this way 26 years ago when they first started the draw.On some of the hunts for example that 1 tag a year to the bonus pool is the difference of you drawing in 4 years instead of 8 years.

If that's the way it is then I would set up your bait grab your big gun and go sit on ridge in the morning and evenings till the bears start hitting your bait.ya never know you might get lucky.
I'm not sure but I would check the proclamation I think you have a week or two to set up your bait before the hunt starts.Or call a field office and talk to someone that could tell you for sure.
I have been hunting down there for about 10 years on the spring hunt with dogs and I have yet to see a bear, unless it was in a tree or the dogs were chasing it.The oak brush is really thick. I would not waste my time on a spot and stalk.Put the effort in and setup a bait.It will pay off in the...
I feel sorry for your son walking that far for nothing but that's the world of horn hunting these days.10 or 15 years ago we would watch a herd of bulls till they had all dropped and then go in and pick up all their horns. Now they watch a herd and as soon as one drops one horn the race is on. I...
I have a 30 year old Davis tent 14x16 with 5 foot walls and a new one with 6 foot walls and it is awesome you have so much more room with the 6 foot walls.Give them a call 3rd generation family building tents.

Ya I'm done playing the western states game.I going save my money and buy land owner tags every 4 or 5 years. It will be close to the same money as buying points every year. And you don't have to go through all BS putting in for different states at different times, and have small game license that...

If I'm not mistaken those tags are sold through the RMEF, SFW, MDF,And turkey foundation. I know you pain the elk unit I want to hunt has one premium tag and they sale one. I have 22 points and can't draw it because there is not 2 tags.Remember Utah is all about the money, that's all they give a...
I live at the base of the Uinta?s and the general elk hunt is the biggest $hit show you will ever see. I have never hunted Idaho but I can guarantee it will be better than Utah?s general elk hunt. And I'm not saying that just to keep you away because I quit hunting it about 10 years ago. There is...
Bess that is exactly right we bought a new CH bed at work and in less than 2 months the paint was coming off in chunks as big as a paper plate. I don't know if you can buy anything anymore that's been primered.

Just think if you closed every course in Vegas and Phoenix. They could fill lake Powell and Mead in 1 year.
I never could find one that fit. They were all really loose and the adjustments spots wouldn't lineup. So I saved my money and bought the swors. It was worth it.But that's been about 6 years ago.Maybe there something better now.
I don't think that new place has done anything for over a year. The thing that pisses me off is the BLM keeps letting these dip $hit move in and not One of them has made it work.So I wonder how long the BLM will let that one sit there before they make them clean up there mess.5,10,15 years.
Colorado?s draw and application system is the worst I put in for out of all western states. If they went back to the mail in application it would be faster than their online version. They need to take a few pointers from Utah.
Bess it will be interesting to see what happens with that piece of $hit tar sands project in the Books. When I first went to the Books in 1977 there was a place just down the road off the divide towards moon and steer ride.It was call U-tar they walk away from it and you can still see it...
