That's what I've heard. Sad to hear. 22 was my first mule deer hunt ever and had a blast passing up bucks each day. Sucks they lost access to some of the best spots.

That is the truth. Hunted 22 in 2013 and didn't want to burn my points on it again. This was the better option IMO.

I also recommend Winterton Suites. Stayed there last year during my Antelope hunt. It was just like a Condo. I believe if you don't use all three bedrooms they discount the rate. I was able to get refunded for a night since we left early after tagging out opening morning.

These tags wouldn't use up your points if you were to purchase one correct?

2.5 = 2.5, 4.33 = 4.33 etc.

Yes, they did! I was able to turn in the tags before the season started and they were very helpful. We weren't able to get our money back, but after all that had happened it wasn't our biggest problem ahead of us.

My Buddy and I drew the tag last year. We looked at maps and spoke to others that had hunted it. We were all ready to go until both of our homes burnt down 2 weeks before the hunt in the Tubbs Fire. Hopefully, we can make it this year.

Elks96 is a great guy! He really helped me out a few years back and made my trip a blast. I have friends in Rangely too, but Elks96 helped me out so much and I had never even met him before! Best of luck man. I may be out there again next year to hunt. This year it's Utah for me.

Yes general rifle Pine Valley

We put in for Pine Valley again this year. Last year we had 2 points and didn't draw, but excited to have a better shot this year. I'm curious to see how things turn out with no more loophole.

I was wondering if I could pick anyone's brain on the Pine Valley unit. I've never been there before but am interested in learning more about the unit since I have enough points to draw both the general season and the antelope hunt. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
