That's easy, plenty of black bears, coyotes, deer and mtn lions in Yosemite Park. Remember grizzlies are at the top of the food chain.
Imagine all the tourists pulling over to watch and photograph a grizzly dragging a buck thru the Merced River.
Hoping they reintroduce the grizzly bear soon in Yosemite NP to start.
1. Remove all park anemities.
2. Place warning signs for park visitors.
3. Release grizzlies in breeding pairs until a sustainable grizzly population is established in Yosemite.
4. Educate the public about the importance...
Too many predators nowadays as it is. There used to be a small herd of CA Bighorn sheep in Yosemite until the mtn lions picked them off. You won't hear the libs complaining about that.

Those are all soft kickers if the rifle isn't too light. Rifle and bullet weight has a big effect on recoil.

Another issue is whenever a lion or bobcat kills a deer, it eats and covers it up. Bears then come along and push the lion or bobcat off the kill. Due to the overpopulation of bears, bobcats and lions the deer herds are getting hammered hard. A lion needs about 1 deer a week to survive, as a...
All part of the leftist agenda. I knew this was coming once they outlawed bobcat hunting. Next will be another less popular game species such as quail or maybe even deer. Might even reintroduce wolves to bolster the existing population if they can prove they were here.
Once they ban hunting...
Really great thread on the G3 and a big congrats to the OP!
I met a guy about 20yrs ago who took about 170-180 class toad buck in the G3 on the opener right by the road.
I'll add Unit 66 is full of crab forks and 3x4s. The great genetics are still there but one has to wade thru many lesser bucks to find one. I only heard of one giant class buck taken and met quite a few of the tag holders for the 4th.
Lower 170s. Weak G2s, little short on the main beams, inside spread and average mass. This one fooled most folks but his deep forks and outstanding G4s makes him an exceptional buck in my book!
My late Uncle Bill with his Winchester pump 12ga in the late 30s. Was a professional trapper and hunter, originally from OK and trapped in CA, NV and Idaho. He
also had an old Rem autoloader rifle with a recoiling barrel.
