012-014 & Burners

Hey everyone;

Hope the ones that the draws showed no love to so far feel some later (some how).

In the past I have helped my Father and another guy with their 011 antelope tags and we seemed to get "visited" by people on their way to Burning Man (Yup, they were lost). Well, I've got an antelope tag for 012-014 and was wondering since those units are closer to BM, how much do the burners "interrupt" your hunt?

I'm hoping that if any, it would only be on the roads and not at camps & while you're out hunting. I've been asked for directions, gas, something to drink and even a ride to Burning Man (cause their car broke down) at all hours of the nite.

Your experiences and any thoughts on Lope hunting there are appreciated.

Had A Lope tag last year and never had a problem with the Burners. Although we were camped up above Soldier Meadows. You shouldn't have any problems. Be aware of the wilderness areas though.

I had that tag last year. Started in area 14 and worked North. Scouted 3 days before opening day and found one good goat before season opened but it was warm and dry and they were moving a lot and couldn't find him again. Plus the California fires were no help...Ended up with tag soup..!! Seen a few that would go around 80...but was looking for 85 plus...
