I am still trying to confirm accessing a certain area. If anyone has hunted in the Reno-Pyramid Lake area please PM me.

Well not much luck yet. Found a couple does but haven't seen a buck yet. Try convincing a 15 year old to be patient.

Still no bucks seen and with work taking up my time it looks like it's more than likely going to be shoot a doe if we see one or possibly end the season unsuccessful. It's my sons first season so I will be pretty bummed for him.

Some good bucks taken out of that area last year. Don't give up yet, are you going up north toward empire? If I were you I'd hunt the mountain range to the west of the alfalfa fields that are in that valley.

I haven't. I've been hunting around the fish springs ranch, winnemuca ranch road and the pah rahs

If I were available I'd head out with you this weekend but I have plans. If the tag isn't filled by next week and you are available that first weekend in Nov. let me know maybe I can tag along and help find something.

Got some good info from a buddy of mine that hunted Archery in that area and also hunts birds in the general area all the time. I'll pm you my number.
