what are the dates on this hunt. I had a elk tag in 61.

Both my brother and Dad have this tag right now. My dad harvested a small 4x3 this last weekend. We have seen alot of deer but they are really tough to get close to. This hunt is not for the faint of heart as the weather is really cold and nasty. We had a few close calls with the truck almost sliding into a ravine. A fun hunt though with some good memories.

Look along breauno sp? I saw three bucks over 170 along the river in full rut during my elk hunt.

I've heard nothing but good about it. Its true though that its hard to get close because of the does that are around the rutting bucks. But you should have multiple stalks and a chance to see great bucks. Pay attention to the migration route. fatrooster.

Here is a picture of me with my dads 3x4 archery deer last year. This deer was taken about 2 miles off the nearest road in a deep canyon. We almost got snowed in from this blizzard. Thankfully my dad was one of four successful hunters for this unit group last year. The success ratio was below 10% . Sorry about the crappy picture.
