08 Archery Success!

Shot this bull saturday evening. He wasn't the biggest bull I saw, but he gave me the best opportunity. I was planning on holding out for a bigger bull, however I have a couple of friends from out of state that are hunting the same hunt and I wanted to concentrate on getting them their first bulls. Bulls are starting to talk a little, but no big bulls with cows yet, just raghorns and satellites.

Yeah , I'm curious too, what kind of fletching/arrows are you shooting???

I'm shooting Easton Axis Arrows with orange wraps. The funny looking thing in front of the nock is a FOB. They have been talked about in the Archery Forum and I read about them on Archerytalk.com. I figured I'd give them a try and I must say, I was quite impressed with the way they flew. Dead on the same as field points and several different broadhead combos I tried. I didn't get to test them out on a longer shot though. This guy was 13 yards when I shot. I would prefer those close shots any day. I'll continue to use them on my archery deer hunt in January.

This bull came out of unit 10 for the MM member in post #2.

Congrats Duane, that style of fletching are called FOB's. So far they have some really good reviews, and I hear the customer service is great. Here is there website.
