$1000 bucks

https://www.blm.gov/programs/wild-horse-and-burro/adoption-and-sales/adoption-faq

You have to keep the horse in the U.S. for at least a year in order to claim title to it. The horse would eat all $1,000 offered and then some.

Given that there are no horse slaughter facilities in the U.S. you then have to export them to Canada or Mexico. Also the American pet food manufacturers are banned from using Horse meat, at least since 1974.

Kind of a long way to go to lose money on a horse even with $1,000 to boot from Uncle Sam.

I'm sure you will have to claim the horse on your taxes at the end of the year. And don't forget only one per household.

Hey Beavis!

I Hope you're better at Elk Management than you are with Feral Horses!

You Can't Make Dog Food out of them!

You can't take them to the Auction the Next Day!

You Can't make Glue out of them!

You Will be Taxed on them!

You Really Think Our Government is gonna let You Profit from them?

I know so many people in so many places
They make allot of money but they got sad faces

I still say round em up and haul them to the border and dump them on the Mexican side of the fence. Turn about is fair play.

What does it cost to rent a backhoe? Asking for a friend

THAT is the best idea I've heard both in regard to the horse problem and justification for a wall.

That might be the best way to get Mexico to build their own wall....with no gates.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-20-19 AT 09:48AM (MST)[p]According to Fox news story, they will give you $500 within 60 days that you take a horse or a burro and then $500 more within 60 days of receiving your title for the horse or burro. But it will cost you $25 for paperwork and processing.
So hoss you could get a burro and you would not have to dig as deep as a hole you might not even need a backhoe.

Pink slips or bills of sale or what ever it is to show ownership isn't presented from Uncle Sam until you have had the said horse on U.S. soil for 12 months.

How much would it cost you to keep a horse for 12 months? I know what we used to pay for pasture for our two hay burners and I know $1,000 doesn't come close.
