13a and 13b OTC Elk Tags

Spent the past weekend on the AZ Strip with my Nephew had a great time !! During Saturday Evening a couple hours prior to sun down up on Black Rock , We spotted 3 Cow Elk . About 3/4 mile up the road noticed to men dressed up in Camo head to toe and packing Hunting rifles . After I got home I called the Unit Manager and He informed me that there are OTC Tags available for any Cow/Bull Elk for both 13a and 13b Units .... glad to know and see AZG&FD taking this action !! Anyhow, just thought I'd give ya a heads up that OTC Tags are available for these Units .

yes the hunt is currently open ... this was to my surprise as I had yet to hear anything about it .. i knew it was being highly considered . I had to call and report a fresh dead Mule Deer Buck hung up on a fence and also mention the Elk . The 13b Unit manager informed me the Hunt was open .
