I was lucky enough to harvest this buck during the first hour of the season. With our attention focused on a buck that disappeared into the brush 300 yards away, I happen to look behind my shoulder, and saw this buck staring down upon us on the hillside we were on. After a quick sizing up, I decided to drop the hammer. At the report he hopped and disappeared behind a tree. Although I thought I missed he was found piled up not 15 yards from where he was spotted. Awesome buck and congrats! What unit I must know.... hopefully its not the buck I was going to chase during my late season bowhunt.

Great buck. Awesome when a plan comes together. Considering how early in the hunt you got it, the plan must have been a real good one.

Hey those pictures are awesome! I ran into you and your brother. I was driving the lifted white Chevy. I also met the other part of your group. How did they do? 2 out of 3 of us filled tags (not me) It was a fun hunt. Hope I can draw again some day.
