1st day out in 08

I went out today to try out my new spotting scope, I found a shed in the first minute looking through it. It was quite a hike to go up and get it and then I ended up shed hunting instead of using my new scope. I found 7 horns in about an hour but only one brown and it was a spike. The only two I kept was a nice 4 point set.

Took this pic through my binos on the way down the mountain was disapointed to see him still packin but then saw two other bucks with bald heads.

I think if you found that many old ones in an hour, you have stumbled on a honey hole that no one else knows about! Looks like cool country, but pretty damn steep! Good job.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I should count myself pretty lucky. This is public land that not to many people know about plus people around this area dont seem to care about sheds. I hope it stays that way. This wasnt even the spot I get excited about, I hope to hit the good area up this week.
