1st Rifle countdown

Getting a little ansty around here looking at all the archery and muzzleloader reports. I'll be heading out from the midwest (to NW Co)with an E/S 1st rifle tag to an area I've hunted several times 2nd and 3rd season for either elk or mulies. Looking forward to hunting them "first" hopefully they'll still be rutting a little. Will hold out for a least a decent 5x5 the first couple days then who knows?? Who else is heading out? I'm as antsy as they get, just got back from muzzy deer in the same place I have my 1st rifle bull. Been woke up to bugles and been seeing elk every day for over a week....A 320ish 6x6 bull visited the pond I was spike camped near every morning! Just hope they are in the same places in a few weeks.....
