2008 ELs vs SV ELs?

Decided to make the leap but want to get a decent deal on a used pair. Looks like the difference is $400-500 between a pair from 10-12 years old vs never SV models

Are the newer ones worth the extra. I can afford the difference if they are worth it. I have looked through the new ones in the store and can't tell that much difference but have never seen them in low light. Difference in low light is my main criteria for deciding the purchase.

I have the older style EL's. They were getting a little blurry and not quite clear as I would like them and I sent them in to Swarovski. They replaced all the lens for 250.00, replaced the green covers and installed winged eyecups and lens protectors. They are nice now and clear. I too was looking at the newer EL's until I got my back. I"ll save my money.
