2012 Northern Utah Buck

Long time lurker first time poster. Thought I'd join in on this fun and post the buck I shot on opening day of the general season rifle deer hunt. He wasn't the buck I was after (watched him get shot that morning) but I'm pretty proud of this buck as it's my biggest to date. 5x5 with eye guards, 26" outside spread and roughed scored at 169 6/8.

Haha I think I was still in shock after walking up on him and realizing he wasn't a big 3 point. Anyways thank you all for the kind words and I want to give a shout out to my 2 cousins who helped me lug his fat butt back to the truck (4 hrs). I couldn't have done it without their help.

Clip was out of the gun and the chamber was clear. I guess I could have taken the bolt out too but I wasn't thinking to clear at the time.
