22 magnum

Pobably shot more critters with my
old Winchester lever in this cal, than
anything else....and prolly all combined.

.22 Mag's a GREAT little rimfire round.

I wish I had a dollar for every coon and fox
I've shot with mine.

Pissed the Coon's and Fox'off...but back
when fur was worth something...awsome....

I would look for a K series Weaver. K4 would be ideal, for me anyway.

Congrats! I have an 883ss. I had the barrel shortened to 18", to make it "handier", and it is my favorite little rifle. Accuracy did not suffer and I use a cheap Bushnell 3x9..
