2nd Barbary tag ever, never got to go on the 1st hunt but I'm gonna take advantage of this tag for sure. Any positive info would be appreciated, camping areas, food establishments to eat at, do's and don't, honeys holes 😜, Atv's.

Had that tag last year hunted hard put a ton of miles on the boots and was unsuccessful. There is only one food place in queens no gas at all in the area. Would recommend taking in gas with you or you will have to drive atleast 2 hours round trip for gas. Just get ontop of peaks and glass till you glass something up and hope you can get in range before they disappear. Would recommend taking a atv or side-by-side if you have one.

Agree with all the above. Super mobile animals. Which parts of the units they’re in is a huge toss up that can depend on lots of factors.

Big issues are access, pressure and effort. Bring fix a flat gas and water.

Actually the food at the Queens store is pretty good but hours they are open are limited, give them a call to see what days they are open now.

Just ran across this thread. I just drew 29/30 archery for barbary sheep, and I'm starting really diving into researching the hunt. My biggest question for y'all is how does one determine if the land is suitable for sheep? I can look on OnX all day and find plenty of areas that are cliffy and roadless. Is there anything else to look for when e-scouting? I appreciate seeing the suggestion to just getting up high and glassing forever, as well as taking a UTV with gas/food/water/tire repair kit.

Probably won’t know until you’re there! They cover some serious distance. These critters are flirting with death most the time, and for an animal that can sustain itself from the water in the vegetation, they sure do love it when there is fresh water around.
They like the sun first thing in the morning also.
