30 or 21?

I thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone had any advice for Mule deer next year. Trying to compare the two units. it looks like Non-residents like 30 3rd better and residents like 21 2nd better.

30 - 3rd
21 - 2nd

or neither?

Speaking from a non-resident perspective, I have had the privelage of hunting unit 30 the last two 3rd seasons. The first year, my dad had the tag and I bought an elk tag and then last year I drew the deer tag. I though unit 30 was a fantastic hunt, the buck I saw the day after my dad killed his buck was unbelievable and with some of the other bucks I saw convinced me to put in the following year. Even though I didn't kill as big of buck as I would have liked. I saw 10-15 mature bucks per day and passed on some really nice bucks. The bucks were in the rut in the third season and we saw new bucks showing up each day to get with the does. I saw several bucks actually mount the does, so they were in full rut. To me that would be the biggest difference, I have not hunted 21 but I would think hunting bucks in the full rut is a huge advantage over not, even though the 21 might have some better bucks in it. Just my opinion.

Did you guys run across many elk in unit 30?

Saw elk everyday, but A LOT of elk hunters running around on quads. I would think there are better OTC elk units than 30, but it's fairly easy access so a lot of hunters.
