300 Weatherby Mangum

I bought this rifle from Thompson Long Range a couple years back. This has been the nicest rifle I’ve ever had but I would like to build another custom rifle. I cannot justify keeping this rifle. This is a 1000 yard rifle with factory ammo. I have killed a few animals out to 650 with this rifle and have been very impressed with the accuracy and the 300 Weatherby magnum cartridge.

Rifle is a Weatherby Accumark chambered in 300 Weatherby magnum.

Topped with a Thompson Long VX-3HD 4.5-14X40 SIDE FOCUS

Rifle has no more than 150 rounds through the barrel.

Are you talking about the over hang on the base mount?

Yea, almost doesn’t look like the top of the ring is connected.

It is an extended base, you can flip it around other way also. Designed for different action lengths, desired eye relief, scope tube lengths etc. Just eyeballing though it appears as a normal centered base could have been used here.
