anybody hunt this area? it seems that there is a good amount of state and blm ground. curious on the ground around lima reservoir, and vinegar hill/basin crk. area. just looking for an area around the southwest area of MT, that my wife, dad and i could put in for with decent access and a fun hunt. sure would appreciate some advice or opinions..

There is a lot of BLM land out west of Lima and also going north from there. Hunted there in 2000 & 2001 for Elk and Deer, was not into Lope hunting then. We did see a lot of Antelope around that area so don't think you will have any trouble bagging your game there. Deer and Elk is a bit harder though.

Unless you camp out, only one Motel there in Lima, and when we were there in mid NOV 2000/2001 it was a dump. In 2001 stayed in an old log house on a ranch that had been "modernized" for sleeping.
