Hi Everybody
Jason here :)... as many of you know I am pretty new to archery ( 9 months)... Anyway.. My current setup is a Hoyt Cybertec Single Cam 67# Beman ICS 400 Arrows, 4 inch vanes... I am using 100 grain three blade muzzy's... As a general rule would it be in my best interest to switch to a 90 grain four blade????
thanks

There is probably people on this board with a lot more wisdom then me but if it paper tunes good and you are happy, leave it alone. I am shooting the exact setup as you but with goldtip 5575's at 62lbs. This works good for me, never lost a deer with a 3 blade 100gr muzzy through the kill zone.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-15-04 AT 06:03AM (MST)[p]are you shooting 3 fletchings or 4.
that makes a difference.
match your blade to your fletch, line them up on the shaft.

I use the same arrow configuration as you, on a Mathews MQ-1, and have always gotten great results on game. I tried the 4 blade broadheads and couldn't get them to fly well at all on my set up. I'm a firm believer in staying with a set up that works for you, accuracy is the #1 factor in my opinion.

Honestly the best arrow I ever shot was a 4 fletched xx-75 witha copeland 6 blade spinner.
